The Public Works Commission (PSC) came under severe criticism last July due to allegations of various irregularities and corruption including question leaks, appointment of cadres on the recommendation of ministers. As per the decision of PSC – all oral exams held for 44th BCS have been cancelled. Even though the 45th BCS paper evaluation is at the end, it will again be sent to the third examiner. Moreover, PSC will publish the results again to remove the discrimination in the 46th BCS prelims.
These decisions have been taken in the commission meeting of PSC. This information was informed in the notification sent by PSC Public Relations Officer SM Motiur Rahman on Monday night.
According to the circular, the chairman of the newly appointed Public Works Commission and the eight-member commission discussed the question papers of the 44th, 45th and 46th BCS exams, including the suspected leak of various non-cadre exam papers. The commission has taken the following decisions in the interest of maintaining the transparency, fairness and impartiality of the said examinations
