Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Cabinet Secretary Sheikh Abdur Rashid and heads of three forces were present at this time. After offering flowers to the martyrs of the Liberation War, the President observed a minute’s silence at the altar of the memorial. At the end of the national salute, the members of the armed forces raised a mournful tone. After paying his respects, the President signed the visitor’s book of the memorial.
At the end of the President’s tribute session, Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus came to the memorial area around 6:13 am. After paying floral tributes to the martyrs of the Liberation War, the chief adviser observed a minute’s silence at the altar of the memorial. At this time, the members of the armed forces played the national salute and played the bugle. After paying homage, the chief adviser also signed the visitation book of the memorial.
At the end of the tribute session, the chief advisor exchanged words with the diplomats of the foreign missions and the members of the advisory council. Later Bir Shrestha was led by Farooq-e-Azam, the adviser on liberation war issue.
Families, martyred freedom fighters and brave freedom fighters laid wreaths.
Tributes were paid by foreign diplomats, various political, social and cultural organizations and people from various professions.
This is the first Independence Day after the country’s political transformation. The program of the day was started by firing 31 cannons in Dhaka in the morning.

Bangladesh is celebrating the 54th anniversary of building an independent homeland by breaking the chain of exploitation and deprivation by Pakistan and flying the red-green flag.

The trial process of Sheikh Hasina and her party leaders has started on the charges of ‘genocide’ against the protestors in July-August. Among these, Yunus government is dreaming of building a ‘new Bangladesh’ beyond Sheikh Hasina’s ‘autocracy’.
