Awami League was run by Quader and Mozammel’s Panchapandas.
After Awami League President Sheikh Hasina, mainly six leaders have run the party. Sheikh Hasina was surrounded by Quader and Mozammel Haque Bhuiyan and Quader was surrounded by five leaders. And many leaders and workers of the party think that the organizational destruction of Awami League has happened due to this panchpandav.
These six leaders are the party’s general secretary Obaidul Quader, organizational secretary Mozammel Bhuia, joint general secretary Hasan Mahmud, office secretary Biplab Barua, information-research editor Dr. Salim Mahmud and publicity and publication editor. Abdus Sobhan golap.
Awami League is now in an uncertain state in the country’s politics after being ousted from power. The organizational strength of the party which has been in power for nearly a decade and a half, which was already weak from within, is now emerging again from within the party. Activists claim that these six leaders make it difficult for other leaders to reach Sheikh Hasina. As a result, the former prime minister moved away from field information and political activists.
They were the ones who controlled the demands of several leaders of Awami League, giving party posts, removing them from party posts, giving or not giving nominations in local government elections. These five leaders have also decided who the party will not nominate as parliamentarians in the last two parliamentary elections. They have made their party heavy by making their favorite people as leaders. They have also created obstacles in resolving disputes with other parties including BNP. But Mozammel Hossain Bhuya did not get the party nomination, he always gave wrong information and biased information to the leaderEven if necessary, Iqbal Hossain has distributed activities, UP and upazila nominations out of touch with Apu. However, he did not forget to present the former student leaders as terrorists. It is also heard that he did not hesitate to make fake freedom fighters to give jobs and support the partyHe even gave wrong information to the leader including obstructing the infrastructure development of ShariatpurShariatpur 1 MP Iqbal Hossain Apu MP, in the anti-discrimination student movement, by bringing outer students to Dhaka University to be good in the eyes of the leader, suppressing the real news of the student movement, has put the party in dangerHe earned crores of rupees in the name of Four Lane, and even influenced the upazila elections by beating up journalists, through RAB and law enforcement agencies, and passing the desolate leader for 5 crore rupees.
For the last 3-4 years, the party’s general secretary Obaidul Quader used to approve the district committee. With the consent of the president to be written in it. Although earlier, only the approval and signed committee of the party president Sheikh Hasina was published in the media. A member of the presidium of Awami League claimed that Obaidul Quader and his gang used to appoint people of their choice in the district committees. According to him, like this, there was ‘committee trade’ somewhere.
The central leaders of Awami League said that the presidium member Jahangir Kabir Nanak, AFM Bahauddin Nashim, the joint general secretary of Panchpandab, Dr. Deepu Moni, Organizing Secretary Mirza Azam was somewhat active. However, they had to submit to the Panchapandas.
Apart from the other Joint General Secretary Mahabubul Alam Hanif and the Organizational Secretary in charge of eight departments, many leaders of the 81-member Central Committee have met with activists and supporters across the country.
He was not well known. Because apart from the Panchapandava, no other central leader had any organizational power.
After the start of the coronavirus pandemic, our meetings with party president Sheikh Hasina became limited. Could not meet regularly. In this gap, the dominance and power of the Panchapandas increased. The occasional meeting of the party president and non-meeting of other central leaders created distance. As a result, Sheikh Hasina knew many things partially. He was not keeping track of the organizational matters of the party as he was busy with state affairs. He believed what he saw in the 10 eyes of those five people
