Journalist Munni Saha was arrested by the police from the capital’s caravan market. He was arrested around 10 o’clock this Saturday night.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Tejgaon police station. Mubarak Hossain said that journalist Munni Saha was surrounded by some locals after leaving the office of Janata Tower at around 10 o’clock on Saturday night. On receiving the information, the police arrested him from the spot and brought him to the police station.
Eyewitnesses said that after Munni Saha was taken away, hundreds of people chanted slogans demanding his trial.
Recently, Munni Saha was the editor of an online portal named Ek Takkar Khabar.
According to police sources, Munni Saha was taken from the police station to the Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) office on Minto Road around 10:30 pm.
