25 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP) of the 40th BCS undergoing training at the Bangladesh Police Academy located in Sarada have been chastised.
An order signed by Superintendent of Police Tanveer Salehin Imon on behalf of the principal of the academy on Sunday (December 15) sought their explanation.
On Monday (December 16), AIG (Media and PR) of Police Headquarters Inamul Haque Sagar confirmed this information.
He said that 25 ASPs of the 40th BCS, who are undergoing training at the Bangladesh Police Academy located in Sarda, have been sent a letter seeking an explanation for the breach of discipline.
According to the explanation letter, the accused started walking randomly instead of running on the afternoon of November 26 during training. Others could not run properly because of them. Even when told to run, 25 people ignore it and say insulting words. This disrupts training activities. Besides, they encourage others to break the rules.
The letter further states that, in such circumstances, the accused are directed to submit a written statement to the undersigned within 3 days of receipt of the notice explaining why the accused should not be referred to the higher authorities for action in view of such activities and conduct.
Earlier, on November 19, the final training parade of the 40th BCS (Police) batch of Assistant Superintendents of Police (Apprentices) was postponed. At the same time, the closing parade of the 40th cadet SIs in training has also been postponed.
